Dining
PrismDining
One hundred and eighty seats, a halal kitchen, and five cuisines on one menu. Open every day from seven in the morning until half past ten at night.
The dining room
A hundred and eighty people fit in this room — a number that changes what a restaurant can be. It is large enough for a family gathering or a company lunch, and still ordinary enough to come to alone on a Tuesday morning.
The kitchen is halal, without exception. Main dishes run from ৳300 to ৳1,200, so a plate of rice and a full table both have their place on the menu.
The room is plain in the way a working restaurant should be: long tables that can be pushed together, a tiled floor that takes a full house, and a kitchen close enough that food arrives hot.
Five kitchens, one room
Most restaurants pick one. We cook five, because Jashore eats five — a business lunch, a family dinner and a guest from abroad do not want the same plate.
The food of this region
Rice, fish and the curries people here grew up with.
Richer and slower
Tandoor dishes, biryani and gravies with more spice behind them.
Fast and hot
Fried rice, noodles and soups, cooked to order in minutes.
Lighter, sharper
Lemongrass, chilli and coconut, for a table that wants something fresher.
Familiar to a guest from abroad
Grills, pasta and plates that need no explanation.
Opening hours and prices
Parking at the gate for twenty cars and fifty motorcycles. No reservation is needed for a table, but for a larger group a call in advance helps us seat you together.
Trained here, cooking here
A good part of the kitchen and service team trained at Prism Hotel Management & Skill Development Institute, on the same road. Students do their practical work in this dining room — at a real front desk, with real guests — and the best of them stay.
What they cook with comes partly from Prism Agro & Food, the group’s own processing company.
