A new initiative to expand markets for products made by local entrepreneurs
Jashore, September 22, 2026 — Prism Super Shop has been inaugurated in Jashore to create opportunities for marketing and selling high-quality products—such as food items, Nakshi Kantha (embroidered quilts), sarees, and three-piece sets—produced by local entrepreneurs.
Mr. Ashek Hasan, the Deputy Commissioner of Jashore, inaugurated Prism Super Shop as the chief guest at the event organized by Prism Agro & Food. Muslima Khatun, the proprietor of Prism Agro & Food, presided over the event.

Special guests present at the event included District Youth Development Officer Mr. Zakir Hossain; CIP Mr. Shyamal Kumar Biswas; Deputy Director of the Department of Youth Development, Jashore, Mr. Zakir Hossain; District Officer of the Department of Agricultural Marketing, Jashore, Mr. Kishore Kumar Saha; and Upazila Extension Officer Ms. Razia Sultana. Also present were Arlette de Lange from PUM in the Netherlands and journalist Ujjal Biswas.
Additionally, the event was attended by Sufia Mahmud Rekha, President of the Jashore District Beauty Parlor Owners’ Association; Bashir Ahmed Chandon, Chairman of the Prism Hotel Management & Skill Development Institute; as well as various entrepreneurs, businesspeople, and distinguished guests.
A counter for products that had none
Speakers at the event noted that while many entrepreneurs produce high-quality goods, the expansion of their businesses is often hindered by a lack of proper marketing and sales facilities. Prism Super Shop will play an effective role in expanding markets for these entrepreneurs by collecting, displaying, and selling their products.
Prism Super Shop will sell high-quality products from local and small-scale entrepreneurs alongside Prism Agro & Food’s own products. This initiative will not only deliver entrepreneurs’ products directly to consumers but also foster new entrepreneurship, boost employment, and contribute positively to the development of the local economy.
At the conclusion of the event, the guests toured Prism Super Shop and exchanged views with the local entrepreneurs. The organizers expressed hope that this initiative would play a significant role in helping local entrepreneurs expand their businesses, creating markets for their products, and further invigorating the local economy.
