A food processing company in Jashore. We make, pack and sell food products — to shops, to wholesalers, and over our own counter, where the work of other local makers is sold alongside it.

Prism Agro & Food began in 2019 in Dharmatala, Jashore. What the company does is straightforward: it takes raw agricultural produce, processes and packs it, and sells it on.
It is a small operation — six people — and that shapes how we work. Everyone on the floor knows the whole process, from what comes in at the gate to the seal on the pack. There is no shift where nobody is watching. Md Sadek Raihan runs the day-to-day work.
Three ways our products reach people
Four papers on the wall
In food, trust is not something you can assert. It has to be issued by somebody else. These are the certifications and licences Prism Agro & Food holds.
BSTI
The Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution mark. It certifies that the product meets the national standard for its category.
ISO lab test certificate
Independent laboratory testing of the product, to an ISO standard, by a party with no interest in the outcome.
DAM certificate
Registration with the Department of Agricultural Marketing, the government body that oversees the trade in agricultural produce.
Trade licence
The municipal licence to trade — the base on which everything else rests.
Not a company on its own
Prism Agro & Food is one of three companies in the Prism group, and it shows in the daily work. Students from Prism Hotel Management & Skill Development Institute do part of their practical training in our production room — several of the people working here learned the trade there. Prism Restaurant & Convention Centre, a few doors away, buys from us.
Our raw material comes from an agricultural entrepreneur, and where we can we buy from local farmers.
